Trunk or Treat - Wabash Valley Cluster #83 sponsored

As part of Halloween on 9th Street , join us for Trunk or Treat!

TRUNK OR TREAT is scheduled for Saturday October 26 for Newport and Clinton.

Candy will be needed and collected for Trunk or Treat to be handed out at Newport Town Square and Halloween on 9th Street in Clinton.

Wrapped candy and treats or monetary donations can be collected at your church or dropped off at Audrey’s house. Another option is dropping treats off at Free Laundry Day. Contact Angie for other pick up ideas. Candy and treats need to be collected by October 20. All ideas will be considered and appreciated! Our Trunk or Treat Wal-mart Registry can be used to purchase candy.

We will be handing out small sandwich or snack-sized baggies full of treats. If you would like to make up your own, that would be great!

Please join us by helping with treats and/or passing out treats to hundreds of excitingly dressed up kids. Dress accordingly – That’s for the weather and if you want to dress in a costume.

Clinton’s Halloween on 9th Street (table and tent will be a Spider Theme) starts at 5pm. Park outside 9th street as the street will be blocked off.

Newport Town Square Trunk or Treat starts at 6pm. Vehicle trunks are decorated.

Trunk or Treating is often considered a safer alternative to trick or treating because parents can watch their children while they collect treats. Participants decorate their cars for the occasion, sometimes creating elaborate scenes out of their trunks. Trunk or treating originated with church groups in the 1900s instead of trick or treating on Halloween.

Halloween on 9th street in Clinton gives vendors, businesses, and organizations like ours, a chance to interact with families and children. We all can provide a safe environment during this Halloween season for our young community members.
