As part of Halloween on 9th Street \, jo in us for Trunk or Treat!
\nTRUNK OR TREAT is scheduled for Saturday October 26 for Newport and Clinton.
\nCandy will be needed and coll ected for Trunk or Treat to be handed out at Newport Town Square and Hallo ween on 9th Street in Clinton.
\nWrapped candy and treats or monetar y donations can be collected at your church or dropped off at Audrey’s hou se. Another option is dropping treats off at Free Laundry Day. Contact Ang ie for other pick up ideas. Candy and treats need to be collected by October 20. All ideas will be considered and appreciated! Our Trunk or Treat Wal-mart Registry can be used to purchase candy.
\nWe will be handing out small san dwich or snack-sized baggies full of treats. If you would like to make up your own\, that would be great!

\nNewport Town Square Trunk or Treat starts at 6pm. Vehicle trunks are decorated.
\nTru nk or Treating is often considered a safer alternative to trick or treatin g because parents can watch their children while they collect treats. Part icipants decorate their cars for the occasion\, sometimes creating elabora te scenes out of their trunks. Trunk or treating originated with church gr oups in the 1900s instead of trick or treating on Halloween.
